On Day Three of the 2014 NFL Draft, the Giants selected a RB, a safety, a CB and a pass-rushing LB.
No tight end. Sorry, folks.
GM Jerry Reese and Co did their best to fill all of the team’s needs in one draft, but their needs were so aplenty that task seemed impossible.
As for TE, it’s not ARob or bust. They’ve been developing former Grambling hoops tee Larry Donnell for a few years now and Kellen Davis is a blocking TE that can also catch the football in short-yardage and goal line situations.
StIll, I am with the majority of you that they needed to scoop up one of the five or so stud TEs in this draft.
But get this, Alex Marvez of FOXSports said this week that the Giants are a front runner to land JerMichael Finley when the doctors finally get around to clearing him. So, they have that going for them.
I like this draft regardless. They covered the bases for the most part and brought in some quality people.
