NFC East: Cowboys Escape Browns; Eagles Crushed By Skins

The Dallas Cowboys did everything they could early on Sunday to hand the Cleveland Browns a victory. Unfortunately for the Browns, they couldn’t take advantage, blowing a 13-0 halftime lead and eventually falling to the Cowboys in overtime, 23-20.

The win raised the Cowboys’ record to 5-5, one game behind the idle Giants in the NFC East and one game ahead of the Redskins, who they host on Thanksgiving.

Washington trounced the sorry Philadelphia Eagles yesterday, 31-6, handing Andy Reid’s club their sixth straight defeat.

RGIII couldn’t have been much better (14/15, 200 yds, 4 TD and 84 yds rushing) as the Redskins, once proclaimed dead by head coach Mike Shanahan proved to be very much alive.

The Giants’ next opponent, the Green Bay Packers, defeated the Lions in Detroit, 24-20, for their fifth consecutive win.
