The New York Giants will soon have an extra bit of motivation to become the first team to ever play the Super Bowl on their home turf on February 2. GM Jerry Reese recently said that he is going to put a Super Bowl countdown clock in the team’s locker room to serve as a constant reminder of what is at stake this season.
Reese’s impetus to create a sense of urgency amongst the Giants appears to some as being “Rex Ryan-esque.”
On Monday, however, Giants guard Chris Snee squashed any potential comparisons that could be made between the two New York teams that share MetLife Stadium.
“I would never, ever compare Jerry Reese to anything associated with the Jets,” Snee told the media at Giants training camp.
