Jerry could challenge for starting spot

The Giants are hoping John Jerry pushes Chris Snee and Brandon Mosley for the starting spot at right guard (Orr, July 2).

Snee is coming off offseason hip and elbow surgery and Mosley stepped in to take most of the first-team reps so far this summer.

Jerry, though, isn’t much healthier. He missed OTAs and minicamp after needed a knee scope. He is expected to be ready for training camp.

Jerry started all 16 games for the Dolphins in each of the last two seasons.

lots of question marks with the Giants OL. Snee, Jerry, Walton, Beatty. Only Pugh and Schwartz are reliable OL at this point. Giants better hope for a diamond in the rough or one of the above mentioned having a break through out season. If not, Manning will need his track shoes

Not a good sign.  Rather see Charlie Brown play RT and move Pugh inside.  With all these blocking tight ends it will be easier to stop edge rushers than deal with A gap pressure.
