Giants right guard Chris Snee is set to undergo hip surgery following the Pro Bowl.
Snee played through a partially torn labrum and bone spurs last season, and at age, 31, the nine-year veteran seeks to play again in 2013.
Playing and starting in all 16 games this year, Snee was a part of an offensive line that allowed the G-Men to rush for 5.5 yards per carry in the A-gaps, according to ProFootballFocus.com.
The chance to play in Hawaii was too intriguing for Snee, who specifically opted to go under the knife after the all-star exhibition.
“That’s why I’m going,” Snee said. “The experiences that I’ve had with my kids and my wife and just meeting all the guys; it’s something I couldn’t pass up on. You only get so many of those opportunities in life and I’m going to cherish every one of them.”
Snee will play alongside fellow Giants teammates Eli Manning, Victor Cruz and Jason Pierre-Paul.
