Giants’ Saturday News and Links

Travel day for the Giants. Tomorrow’s game vs Bengals is a huge one for the Giants. Should they win , they would go into their bye week at 7-3.  That would set them up nicely for the remaining six games, which are as follows: Green Bay, @Washington, New Orleans, @Atlanta, @Baltimore and Philadelphia.  They can go 3-3 in those games and easily win the division, especially if one of those wins in vs the Eagles.

MLB Chase Blackburn (hamstring) has been pushing himself all week, with hopes to get on the field in front of friends and family Sunday in his home state of Ohio:

“It’s going to be nice to go back to the great state and enjoy it a little bit and have the family there to see them after the game and hopefully it will be a win that I can celebrate with them after the game.”

OL Chris Snee (ankle) also hopes to play this week, but he’s not as positive about it as Blackburn is.

“I’d love to be out there, but that’s a decision we haven’t made yet and you could talk to the head guy,” Snee said yesterday. The head guy, of course, is dad-in-law Tom Coughlin. Snee plyed through the pain last week, but with the bye coming up, the Giants may choose to hold him so he can recover for the stretch run.
