Former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue, assigned to preside over the second round of player appeals in the “Bountygate” scandal involving the New Orleans Saints, has vacated the suspensions of the four players involved.
LB Jonathan Vilma, DL Anthony Hargrove, DL Will Smith and LB Scott Fujita have all had their suspensions vacated. Vilma was given a full-year suspension while the other players received less time. Vilma has played through his suspension pending appeal. He played here vs the Giants last Sunday.
