S Will Hill Suspended by NFL for Substance Abuse

Statement by an NFL Spokesperson:

Will Hill of the New York Giants has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2013 regular season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.

Hill will be eligible to return to the Giants’ active roster on Monday, September 30 following the team’s September 29 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Hill is eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games.

From Rotoworld:

“Hill was suspended four games last season for violating the league’s policy on PEDs, but this one is for substance abuse. He’s competing to be the Giants’ No. 4 safety and will be eligible to return in Week 5 against the Eagles.”

Hill is in the mix at safety with Antrel Rolle, Stevie Brown, Ryan Mundy, Terrell Thomas, Tyler Sash and rookie Cooper Taylor.
