Thomas Gaining His Confidence Back

Terrell Thomas

CB Terrell Thomas is getting closer and closer to 100% with each passing day.  He’s feeling confident he’s going be on this team come August 31st, but not sure when he’s going to play in a game as of yet. He says he has to prove to the coaches that he is physically able to play in the NFL again.

T2’s comeback from his second ACL surgery in two years (and third overall) has been intentionally slowed by the Giants’ medical staff who are being very cautious with the veteran corner. They know they have no margin for error. Thomas’ career is on the line.

Thomas was asked if he has any hesitation on the field and is confident cutting on the knee….

“I am, I am totally confident.  I have made the cuts and I think watching it on film, seeing myself, I’m not looking down, I’m not hesitant to put my knee on the ground and I think yesterday was a big day for me to get out there on the turf and make cuts and wasn’t hesitant and each and every day I want to come back and practice.  My knee’s not swollen up, it’s not hurting and that’s the biggest thing.  Getting through practice is easiest and the next day when you have the lingering issues I’ve been healthy throughout the whole process so that’s a great sign.”

Thomas picked off Eli Manning during practice today

Grabo and kulimen have flatlined somewhat, grabo more so. Somewhat disappointed in them. Hopefully they find their games.

We should sign a few walkers from "Walking Dead' for D  then no one will come in our D zone

cappy says tonight we had a few passengers, there was enough passengers to fill to capacity the  Queen Mary

I wish Capuano would call out the players who are passengers. Graboski and Kuliman are definitely passengers.

It was a trap game and they fell in. Really casual approach to this one and they paid for it. The Oilers are bad, but you cannot coast in this league.

going to Vancouver game, they had better show up there or will have to move?!

Imagine if they get to the playoffs and play like tonight? it will be a very short stay

I got to give Edmonton credit. They played a very good game. Its hard to believe there the worst team in the league. Maybe Edmonton still thinks there playing the great Islander teams form the 80's and they get up for these games.

@tonelli27 we know they can play. They started nicely, let's hope you are right when playoffs start.

That will be the real test.

@tonelli27 $ 4 and 5 million dollars for 30 point players. Maybe we were better off with Colin McDonald.

Yep, surprised me too.  I thought he was going to say that he was pleased with the effort.

@TomDinNJ You know what Tom i was thinking the same thing. Thats the first time i actually seen Capuano mad.

@TomDinNJ

at least he was honest to say there wasn't anything positive to take from this game, except maybe they had cannolis in the locker room

That's not a classy thing to do. That's the kind of stuff that Tortorella does.

@caseysdad They probably will not play as good as there best or as bad as their worst.  It was a very disappointing effort though.  I don't want to see many games like tonight, idc what part of the season it is

I agree. Tonight's passengers know who they are according to Capuano. And if they don't, they will know by Tuesday when the lineup changes. I can't stand coaches like tortarella and Bobby Valentine who pull that c r a p.

Willy, games like this make you scratch your head how they can look so good vs some of the better teams, and then look like crap vs against bottom feeders like the oilers tonight

Bad game, it happens. The Oilers took 3 out of 4( I believe) from the Ducks last week. It happens.. The film session will be " unpleasant", because they guys who were bad will get relive it all again. Mistakes will be corrected.

As written, you don't throw guys to the media wolves when they have a bad game. That is just awful people management practiced by guys who are no longer coaching in the NHL. Hi Torts...

You praise in public, and critic in private.

That's what sports is all about. Sometimes it just doesn't click. Tonight was that night for the Islanders.
