Giants Take Over NFC East Lead

With the big win in San Francisco today, the Giants moved to 4-2 and assumed sole possession of first place in the NFC East.

The Cowboys lost in Baltimore today and dropped to 2-3. The Eagles lost and the Redskins won, finishing the day at 3-3.

Dallas almost mounted a thrilling comeback vs the Ravens, narrowing the score to 31-29 and then recovering the onside kick. But but Dan Bailey’s 51-yard field-goal attempt with :06 remaining was wide left and the Cowboys went home losers.

Philly had the Detroit Lions beat, but faltered in the fourth quarter, losing a 10-point lead. Jason Hanson won it for the Lions in OT with his 45-yard FG.

Washington was going toe-to-toe with Minnesota until RGIII took over the game with his legs, rushing for 138 yards and 2 TDs to lead the Redskins to their first home win in over a year.

The Giants are in first place, but have yet to win a game vs a division opponent. Their two losses are to Dallas and Philadelphia. They play Washington next Sunday.
