NFC East Update: Eagles in driver’s seat

The Eagles sit all lone atop the division after Dallas got left out int he cold last night in Chicago. Philly holds a one-game lead over the Boys with three to go. They face each other in Week 17 down in Big D, so all Dallas has to do is stay one game back until then.

The next two weeks will be the season for the Cowboys: home vs Green Bay and away at Washington. No need to go into what those teams have been experiencing, but Dallas should win both.

The Eagles have been red-hot behind QB Nick Foles, who is 6-1 as a starter. He has 20 TD passes to only one INT this season, completing nearly 62% of his passes in the process. LeSean McCoy leads the NFL in rushing despite getting locked down twice by the Giants. Philly plays at Minnesota this week and then will play host to the Bears in Week 16.

You know the Giants’ story. They need to win out to avoid their first losing season since 2004. If they play the way they did vs the Chargers, they’ll be lucky to win another game this season.

The Redskins, the reigning division champs, are is disarray again. The owner, coach and QB are on different pages and it looks like they’ll be making major changes down in DC this offseason.
