That’s right. The matchup that could have happened last year will happen this year. It was inevitable that a Harbaugh would be coaching in a Super Bowl before long. Now, it is about to become a family reunion.
The San Francisco 49ers, led by the the fiery Jim Harbaugh, will face his brother John’s squad, the Baltimore Ravens, in Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans in two weeks.
The Niners overcame a 17-0 deficit to oust the top-seeded Atlanta Falcons, 28-24. The Ravens had a stellar second half as well, beating New England , 28-13 in Foxborough.
“Tremendous win for us,” Jim Harbaugh said after his Niners reached the Super Bowl in only his second season. “It showed the heart of the team.”
The backstories will be boundless. Two brothers. One trophy. Stay tuned.
