Giants OL Chris Snee has restructured his contract, freeing up nearly $5 million in cap space.

SNYGiants insider Ralph Vacchiano estimates the Giants to have approximately $24 million in cap space going into free agency.

Snee won't be playing this year. Probably start the year on PUP. Basing this on his most recent interview with Sirius NFL Raddio. He didn't exactly give a "yea, I'm playing" type of answer when they asked him if he would be ready.

Snee better play this year. If they are willing to cut Baas for 1.8 million in cap savings, then there better be a damn good (football) reason they kept Snee instead of cutting him and saving another 2 million in cap.

Ugh, this Baas move is so stupid.

As a whole, Jets fans tend to be a delusional bunch. I like to visit TheJetsBlog.com to see the writer & fans clamor for Idzig to trade next year's 7th round draft pick to the Packers for Aaron Rodgers & Clay Matthews. It's pretty comical when you read some of the stuff they write. However, each year at the beginning of free agency, they hold a contest where fans pick 10 possible free agent signings the Jets will make. You get points for each correctly predicted signing & at the end of March the winner gets a prize. Free agency is a fun time for fans & I like how the writers over there include the fans this time of the year. I think that is something Fennelly & the other powers that be on this blog should consider doing. I'm not even a Jets fan & I entered the contest because it's fun. It would be better if we were able to do it here instead. Just good for thought.

Then why not cut him and get an extra $2 million this year?!?
