Simms: New offense will help Eli

Phil Simms said he believes the new Giants’ offense will help Eli Manning moving forward.

“I don’t think it’s going to be tough for him,” Simms said (Glauber, June 9). “It’s going to be new information, a new way to do things, but there will be a lot of the same plays that every offense runs, and there will be a new voice telling him and different ways of running those plays.”

Simms said he anticipates new Offensive Coordinator Ben McAdoo implementing a quarterback-friendly offense, which will “make life easier” for Manning.

“I would think the West Coast offense and some of the thinking will help the quarterback,” Simms said. “It’s not always putting the pressure on the quarterback, which I am a big believer of in today’s game. Give the quarterback 50 percent of his completions as ‘gimmies.’ There are other times you want to make those four or five special throws.”

It.s funny or would I say downright hilarious when Action Jackson concluded all his hiccups ..... like all his attempt at free agency  busts and losing out on Shved and Ndour by being so F#%king cheap , then you see all his apologists running around making excuses for  this mediocrity ..... this really suck!!!

@hosket @Winston Hadaway Shved is very talented and young, I don't know how much he's worth I don't think he was trying to break the bank but JR Smith got his money what did he do?,Action Jackson got his money ,Camello got his why not Shved??   we need pieces around Mello!!

@hosket @Winston Hadaway Thats it hosket you gone just like that.......Action Jackson maybe  champion from the Lakers and Bulls fame but he gets no pass from me here in NY.....we diehard NY Knicks fans have him under close scrutiny ...

@Winston Hadaway @hosket Agreed ...need pieces around Melo.......BTW...Shevd got 3.4 mil yr on a guaranteed 3 year [10.2mil]from his home town russian team.....Tough to compete with home town. Now highest paid player in russia....he is a rock star there.....Curious if JR gets what he gave up...

Shved is so talented no NBA team signed him this year. Ndour is so supremely talented that he went undrafted and is basically this years Jeremy Tyler.

Dissecting JAX drafts moves were one thing......seems the b-ball world thinks they were not so lame after all.  Disecting every twist and turn of the FA signings was fun but exhausting.....basketball insiders think they weren't too lame either, in fact there is a basis of a basketball team here.....in fact, both events show there is a plan.  .......Why are the writers here dissecting a move regarding an undrafted fa who had a solid performance in game in Vegas who may or may not have a future at the end of the Mavs bench?  Agreed...may be a talent but...I'm OK .giving Jax a pass.  He earned it.  BTW....if  Adkins was the trade off then...he has the resume, a better bet......

@hosket I like what Phil did in the draft and, for the most part, in FA.   But the way he "mishandled" Ndour was disappointing.  I really liked this kids motor and nose for the ball. The fact that they went back to him and tried to make a last ditch effort to keep says it all.  We screwed up here.

Rather than just saying "it would be interesting to know," why don't you actually MAKE SOME CALLS AND FIND OUT?  Isn't that what running a blog with supposed news and up-to-date information requires?

Ndour is a scrub. He played well against other scrubby players. Who cares.

@Peter And the guys Phil signed played poorly against the same scrubs. WTF are you talking about?

The title is stupid. How can you push for someone who has already signed?

This all sounds well and good.  Sounds like a short pass/quick strike offense.

Which means it's just a matter of time before fans complain about it when Eli hits Cruz for a 6-yard crossing pattern on 3rd and 8.

If Cruz can't get 2 yards after the catch on a crossing patrern, which is designed to hit the receiver on the run by the way, then that's on Cruz not Eli.
