Recap: Giants 20, Steelers 16

Result: The Giants defeated the Steelers 20-16 at MetLife Stadium on Saturday night behind a late touchdown pass from Curtis Painter to Corey Washington late in the fourth quarter to secure the win.


Need to Know: The Giants’ first team offense, led by Rashad Jennings, looked the part. Jennings rushed for 85 yards on five carries including an explosive 73 yard touchdown run. Andre Williams added even rushes for 35 yards for the Giants.  Eli Manning was 0 for 2 in a series for the Giants in cameo action.  Ryan Nassib was 11 of 20 for 75 yards playing most of the game. Curtis Painter came on late and as 7 for 7 including the game-winning touchdown pass.

The defense held  the Steelers to 247 yards on the day.


Game ball: Rashad Jennings made us all forget David Wilson with an exciting 73-yard touchdown run.

What’s next: The Giants play at Lucas Oil Stadium next Saturday against the Colts in a preseason game.
