Odell Beckham Jr. will not play Thursday

Odell Beckham Jr. will not play on Thursday, Tom Coughlin said.

Beckham has been battling a hamstring injury all training camp and is yet to appear in the preseason game.

“How about practicing before you play?” Coughlin said on Monday.

The starters will get just 15-18 snaps in the preseason finale, Coughlin said.

No sense rushing him now. He knows the playbook but does not have the reps or timing down as of yet.

My guess is they continue with Jerrel Jernigan and Rueben Randle in the outside with Victor Cruz naturally in the slot.

Corey Washington can get some looks as well, especially in the red zone.

Bust? Wasted pick?

Wow. Really gentlemen?

Phill Simms was injured his first two seasons... Was he a bust or a wasted pick?????????

Jeez guys, can we at least wait a quarter of the way into the season (Which is still obnoxiously early) before we judge?

The guy's got hamstring problem.

This is getting old.  He better play in the opener.

You won't see him until eight games into the season......right out of the horses mouth..

With him being a rookie and missing all of OTA and all of training camp and all 5 preseason games the 1st quarter of the season is already down the drain if not the 1st half of the season. Especially with Coughlin as his coach his entire 1st year in general could pretty much be wasted already as he'll be judged as too far behind the 8 ball.

A rookie doesn't miss all of OTA and all of training camp and all 5 preseason games and make any significant contribution in the opener especially under Coughlin. Even if he's healthy he might dress but he won't play much if at all. If he's seriously in the mix before the bye week I'd be shocked.
