Monday Tweet Beat: Jerry could still face punishment

SNYGiants insider Ralph Vacchiano (@RVacchianoNYDN)┬áreminds us that the NFL will be announcing the compensatory selections for this year’s draft sometime today..

NFL expected to announce “comp picks” in this year’s draft at owners’ meetings today… And no, I have no idea how many the Giants will get.

NFL reporter Aaron WIlson (@RavensInsider) revealed the specifics of the Giants’ deal with free agent center JD Walton…

J.D. Walton Giants deal: two-years, $6 million, $1.25M signing bonus, salaries $1.25M, $2.25M; annual $31,250 per game active roster bonus….due a $250,000 roster bonus on fifth day of 2015 league year.

Newsday’s Tom Rock (@TomRock_Newsday) reports that newly signed OL John Jerry’s troubles with the league may not be over…

New Giant John Jerry may still face NFL discipline (Wells Report), but I am told it will NOT be in form of a suspension.

Tom also tweeted the team may not have time for a rookie minicamp this spring…

With the late draft, sounds like the Giants may not have a traditional rookie minicamp.

The draft was pushed out to May 8-10 to accommodate the Rockettes’ Easter show at Radio City Music Hall. The show, incidentally, was cancelled this week due to a lack of readiness. The NFL has not commented on any change in plans.
