Manning put in full day at OTAs

Eli Manning participated in OTAs on Wednesday, just over a month after undergoing arthroscopic ankle surgery on April 10.

Manning took snaps under center with the first team, from free agent signing J.D. Walton. Newly drafted center Weston Richburg took reps with the second unit.

He worked in both individual and team drills.

Manning was backed up by Ryan Nassib, Curtis Painter and Josh Freeman.

He's a glue guy - every squad needs one...

Straight up. I challenge anyone on this website to boldly step forward and tell me they have no problem paying $100 for a seat in the garden to see Lou Amundson and Lance Thomas take the court. I can play against those guys at the gym I go to for free.

@Jonathan Beech I'm fine with bring back lou, he's a hustle player that sets a consistent example of how hard you need to play.  You always needs a guy like that on the team   Inside the Encyclopedia of MEH you see a photo of Lance Thomas.

Amundson is a jabroni. Give me a break. "The little things." like winning 12 games this year. None of the guys we acquired this off-season are starters on a playoff team. Robin Lopez comes close, but barely.

@Jonathan Beech I think A Arafalo is a good pick up, and if nothing else we can probably trade him at midseason for a 1st round pick (which we don;t have in 2016) also may be able to package him with Calderon for more salary flexibily next summer.

But no I'm not convinced this is a playoff team, not yet.

Glad they bought Amundson back. The guy will defend and get you rebounds. The little things that help a team. Whatever scoring he does is a added bonus. Now work on bringing Shevd back. Don't bring that scrub ledo back.

Knicks are not at top of their game. With the NBA players they should blow out the Spurs SL team.

grant looks like he belongs, too

porzingis looks like a monster. but the knicks are going to need a lot more than him to avoid the embarrassment of surrendering a high lotto pick to toronto. melo has to come back from a major operation and perform at a much much higher level than he has exhibited in the past. on both ends of the court and become much more of a team player. that is highly unlikely given his preference to hog the ball. but other than przingis and melo there is no one that can score consistanly. affallo and his 42% accuracy is not going to cut it. prediction=toronto will be very very happy at the end of the season collecting the knicks draft pick. and remember 95% of all stars come from lotto picks. the celtics could have at least two of them next year and maybe three if they tank.

Losing that draft pick for Bargnani was a huge blunder.....

Watching SL, we got a player in KP.

I have a bold prediction but porzingid will contribute more than people think his 7'6 wingspan and jump shot will lead to 14 points and 2 blocks a game

Not very bold giving his measurables. If ya didn't think he'd contribute you are just blind.

@Tony Logan but hustle doesn't put the ball in the basket. hustle doesn't put the W's on the board. there are eight zillion guys who can hustle and would jump at the chance to do it. the D leagues are filled with them. and a lot of them have more talent than this guy.

No. He was "hustle man" last season. He deserves to come back.

Does Knicks now have 13 guaranteed contracts for next season? Is Ricky Ledo among them?

BronsonSNY

@Interista If he continues to show his talents and the Knicks let his partial turn into a guaranteed past the August deadline.

I like to have him on roster. Definitely good value for his contract. I hope he has no trade clause, being one of most traded players of the decade, so he can settle down. I like PJ rewarded Lou and Lance.

They did what they could.  But 4 "impact players"?  Hyperbole much?  Come on.  I almost forgot about the one hit wonders "The Spin Doctors".

Good for Lou.  Everybody knows how he's bounced around during his career.  Nice to see a guy who works hard get rewarded.

this is good news and gives the new oc time to explain to eli the concept of the passing game and throwing to your own receivers first aka ball security.
