JPP won’t need shoulder surgery

Jason Pierre-Paul will not need surgery on his shoulder, just to rest it (Hutchinson).

JPP had a second opinion on his shoulder on Thursday, and the recommendation is to rest his arm. He will likely not play against the Seahawks on Sunday and has not practiced this week. But, he has no intention of shutting down his season…

“I’m never going to shut it down,” JPP said today. “If I could go, I’m going to go. There’s no point in shutting it down. If I could help my team win football games, that’s what I’m going to do. It’s bad enough I missed two games already, I feel like I missed four games or six. It sucks just watching your teammates play without you, but it’s part of the game. You never know when you’re going to get hurt.”

That was some UCLA team with Collison, Westbrook, Love, and Mbah a Moute.

We almost had Collison and Barnes at the trade deadline for Shump and Felton, but Shump sprained his knee.

Steve Kerr played for six teams in his 15 years in the NBA, going from the Suns to the Cavaliers to the Magic and to the Bulls, before moving on to the Spurs, Blazers and back to the Spurs. Along the way, he set a record for career 3-point shooting (726-for-1599, .454) that still stands, and an unofficial record for Most Productive Career by a Journeyman. Titles kept following Kerr around — he won three with the Bulls and two more with the Spurs — and people close to him insist it was no accident. Tex Winter, Phil Jackson’s longtime assistant and the sage behind the triangle offense, said Kerr understood more about the intricacies of the triangle than any player he’d ever seen.

“When you talk about Steve, you are talking about a very smart basketball player,” said former Bulls teammate Toni Kukoc. “He knew his limitations. He knew the system. He knew everything there was to know about basketball.”

Kerr played for the Bulls for five years — the longest stay of his career —and it was in Chicago that he cemented his status as a long-range weapon without peer. For the four seasons between 1993 and 1997, he never missed a game, and for the last three of them, put up 3-point percentages of .524, .515 and .464. Overall, he hit 311 of his 644 threes, which might be the best run of long-range shooting the league has ever seen.

Lookin forward to getting coaching staff n rest of front office in order. Also want playoffs over so we can begin making moves with players.

Love the vision from Phil jax, he has a vision n hopefully he gets everyone on his wish list. It is going to be nice with a clear cut system.

I wanna see what Phil can do with this roster for next season......

For the last time, NOWHERE does it say he is not accepting a position until he is done broadcasting. It states that HE WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO even after he takes the Knicks job. When will the authors of this blog stop making the same errors?

The funniest part of that article, which isn't included, is how Amare thinks he fits into Kerr's mindset because bigs need to be versatile in their games and put the ball on the floor, have nice range, and pass out of double teams.....

that got a laugh out of me.

@Sandro Guedes  You don`t, so you should hope he doesn`t do that, but of course we know you can`t wait for him to leave

Easily, he won't join them....he wants big market. Dallas ain't big enough. Also you think he wants western conference?

Also not a lick of defense would be played by those three as your main players

@Sandro Guedes Melo responds.... No need to contemplate these scenario's! During dinner "RINGS" promised me if I take a contract worth 120 million he'll take me to "THE NEXT LEVEL"! We agreed & promised him while I'm being wooed by other teams I won't be a "RAT" like LIN tell NY fans I want to stay but then sign a "POISON PILL DEAL"!!!

Tomorrow it will say..."deal to be completed by Thursday.."...lol...

@Sandro Guedes

The effort he's put in on both ends has been tremendous.  Even that last series - the 2nd half of Game 7?  Curry got his, but CP made him earn it while playing through a bad hamstring.  This series, he has defended spent time defending Westbrook while being the Clips' primary playmaker (and even best 3-pt shooter).

To be fair, didn't you kill Woodson for allowing similar switches to happen earlier on in the season? I didn't see posts about Felton being a competitor for having to guard Aldridge lol

I love the way reporters hedge in their tweets - the Kerr deal "could" be completed by Monday (or it might not). What a scoop

@Ray Jorge @Sandro Guedes

Nah, in that case, the Knicks would be giving him a $24M bonus (up from the $96M he can get on the market)

I agree man...I want clips to win...but they might not have enough...defensively. They need a Battier tony Allen type....and miss bledsoe right about now...athletic u know..

Kingofny.

Lol.. He don't want to do that though!

If he can't stay out on the court in close games then what's the point of having him?
