John Jerry’s deal is for 1-year, $770K

The Giants’ contract agreement with free agent OL John Jerry is reported to a rock-bottom one with minimal guaranteed money.

Giants RG John Jerry’s one-year deal is worth $770,000.

The deal includes a $25,000 signing bonus, but no other guaranteed money. Jerry, 27, will compete for a starting job with Chris Snee in training camp.

You're right, no downside at all. I just don't think he'll even make the team unless Snee can't go and second year G Eric Herman doesn't develop at all. The good thing is if he doesn't make the team, the Giants are only out 25K. No big deal there...

@fast_eddie  that's what i think people are sleeping on. we have guys on the roster already (mosley, herman, brewer) who are young, talented, hungry and are chomping at the bit to prove their mettle. we know how the giants work, they almost always have their youth serve an apprenticeship so they can make the smooth tranistion to the pro way of life and the game. i'm conifdent that one of these young bucks step up this year and all these concerns over the line will die down quickly.
