A few days ago, impending HOFer Warren Sapp stated his that his former teammate, Simeon Rice, was just as good as Michael Strahan and that if Strahan goes into the Hall of Fame so should Rice. Silly.
First, Tiki Barber called Sapp “an idiot”, and now, in a indirect way, Giants’ Senior Vice President of Communications Pat Hanlon has responded to Sapp’s dis on Strahan.

From Curtis Crabtree of PFT:
…first a little background. New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez tweeted Tuesday that his doctor gave him clearance to begin playing games again following hip surgery. It was a message Yankees’ general manager Brian Cashman was none too happy about.
According to Andrew Marchand of ESPNNewYork.com, Cashman had a pointed response when informed of Rodriguez’s remarks.
“You know what, when the Yankees want to announce something, [we will],” Cashman said. “Alex should just shut the f— up. That’s it. I’m going to call Alex now.”

I’m one of those people who takes Sapp with a grain of salt. He has always been shooting his mouth off and stirring up controversy. On the field, he committed a long litany of classless actions and one has to wonder how he was voted into the hall in his first year of eligibility. Not that he doesn’t belong, but because of his persona.
Well, he’s in there and I guess we all have to bear that. But we don’t have to listen…
