Tom Coughlin said that the Giants will use newly-signed Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie as the team’s No. 1 cornerback, covering the opposing team’s best receiver.
The Giants and Rodgers-Cromartie agreed to a five-year deal in mid-March (Schefter, March 17). The deal is reportedly worth $35-39 million, with $15 million guaranteed (Vacchiano, March 17, Schefter, March 17).
The 27-year-old had 31 combined tackles and three interceptions for the Broncos in 2013, returning one for a touchdown.
