Giants sign C J.D. Walton

The Giants have signed center J.D. Walton (Klis, March 12).

The 26-year-old suffered a dislocated ankle on September 30, 2012, knocking him out for the rest of the season. He hasn’t played since.

The Broncos cut Walton in December (Smith, December 17). Walton has started all 36 games he’s played in over his four-year career.

John Fennelly, Lead Writer

This should not be taken as a sign that the Giants are out of Evan Dietrich-Smith / Brian De La Puente stakes, but rather the Giants trying to find a bargain, lightning in a bottle so to speak. With David Baas and Jim Cordle gone, the team is looking for several candidates to fill the spot. Walton will be given a shot, and would be a real steal if he pans out.

to not think character is an important part of a players evaluation says a lot about the character of someone who would think that way.

This SPEAKs Volumes on REESE's Willingness to still GAMBLE,

I would have Signed  the HOME TOWN Boy, OT Richie Incognito,

if i wanted to GAMBLE,

Richie can PLAY !!!,

a TOP FOOTBALL Trench Brawler,

i would just be Gambling on the OFF the Field Issues,

which, with TEAM Subport,  is a Better Bet....

this is a BAD Direction at OC....

JD Walton was rated as the worst starting Center in the NFL when he was healthy.
