Result: With most of their starters resting, the Giants edged the Patriots by the score of 16-13 on Thursday night at MetLife Stadium in their final preseason game.
Need to Know: Eli Manning played just the first series of the game and went 1-for-4 for zero yards. TE Larry Donnell had 3 catches for 43 yards. WR Jerrel Jernigan and TE Daniel Fells each reeled in a 20 + yard catch. RB Andre Williams had 5 rushes for 44 yards, while fellow RB Peyton Hillis had 11 rushes for 40 yards and a TD. RB Rashad Jennings had 3 carries for 20 yards. QB Ryan Nassib went 6-for-14 for 107 yards. Josh Brown‘s 37-yard field goal in the final minute proved to be the difference.
WR Mario Manningham and FB Henry Hynoski both suffered injuries and did not return to the game.
