According to multiple sources, former Giant PK Lawrence Tynes has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Tynes, 35, became a free agent this March after six seasons with the Giants. He will remembered most for his two NFC Championship-winning FGs in Green Bay and San Francisco.
The Giants did not seek to re-sign Tynes this offseason, opting to go with veteran PK Josh Brown instead.
The Scottish native had a productive career in Blue, scoring 586 points. Only Ring of Honoree Pete Gogolak (646) scored more points in a Giant uniform.
Tynes ended his Giant career by making a team-record 204 consecutive PATs since missing one vs. San Francisco on Oct. 21, 2007. The old team record of 133 in a row was set by Gogolak from 1967-72.
Punter Steve Weatherford, Tynes’ former holder on FGs and PATs tweeted his congratulations….
