Flynn signs with Packers

Quarterback Matt Flynn has signed with the Green Bay Packers (Rapoport, April 15).

Flynn was expected to visit with the Giants on Tuesday, but didn’t make the trip.

Well, one option at backup QB down, one to go…

Flynn probably was playing this card to get the Packers to step up to the plate and sign him.

Freeman is the guy the Giants were initially looking at, anyway. If they can rehabilitate his psyche, Freeman is the player with the bigger upside.

Whoever they sign, if they sign anyone, I hope he never plays.

Flynn isn't very good, I'm glad the Giants passed on him.

Freeman has some upside, maybe.

For the right price he's a good backup, but I'd rather they develop Ryan Nassib, if he's any good.

Freeman does have more upside, but also needs a lot of work (with the playbook and mentally - he is clearly broken). Flynn would have been plug and play.
