The Giants have put linebacker Dan Connor on the injured reserve list, ending his season.
Connor suffered a neck burner during the preseason and another in Week 1 against the Cowboys. The team could not use their “designated to return” tab, as they used that on Andre Brown earlier this season.
Mark Herzlich will play middle linebacker against the Broncos, according to Giants.com.
The team was awarded linebacker Allen Bradford off waivers.

Well this just gets better and better, doesn’t it…? Connor had actually played well for the short time he was here. The Giants will go with Herzlich, but this is the time for the team to ramp up the reps for Jacquian Williams. He was considered to be a key cog to the team’s back seven, but injuries sidetracked him in 2012. It’s time to turn him loose….
Don’t forget, the Giants can move either Damontre Moore or Mathias Kiwanuka to OLB if needed. Surely, that wasn’t the plan in training camp, but things are changing rapidly around here and they must adapt.
In other news, OL Stephen Baker was released from the practice squad and replaced by WR Marcus Harris.
