Cruz has knee procedure, ending season

Victor Cruz underwent an arthroscopic debridement on his left knee on Thursday afternoon. No ligaments were damaged.

Cruz will finish the 2013 season with 998 yards receiving and four touchdowns.

The surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews in Pensacola, Fla.

Cruz was also cleared of his concussion.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't a knee debridement procedure bad news for the future health of Cruz's knee? The only other guy I associate with having a knee debridement is Amare Stoudemire of the Knicks which is obviously not good.
