Jason Pierre-Paul had surgery on Tuesday for chronic pain that had been bothering him during last season.
On Thursday at the Giants voluntary OTA, head coach Tom Coughlin was asked if JPP could return by the first game of the season.
““I’m hoping, but I wouldn’t say that. That’s an aggressive position to take. If anybody can do it, it’s him,” Coughlin said.
The surgery is expected to sideline JPP for at least 12 weeks.
