Free agents Aaron Curry and Josh Cribbs both left their visits with the New York Giants without contracts, according to reports.
Curry, the former fourth overall selection in the 2009 NFL Draft who has been since cut by both the Seahawks and Raiders, took a physical with the team. Questions remain about Curry’s knees, as he has worked out for the Bengals and Bears without signing onto a team.
The Giants may be looking to add a veteran to the linebacking corps heading into training camp. The team did not address that position during the draft after parting ways with Michael Boley and Chase Blackburn this off-season.
Cribbs, the former Browns receiver and return specialist, also left New York without a deal. He visited with both the Jets and Giants, the Raiders, and will now head to Detroit, which has a need for a return man.
The Giants are short a return man, as Domenik Hixon signed with the Panthers during the off-season, and their other options — David Wilson and Reuben Randle — are both expected to have increased roles in the team’s offense.
