The Giants will practice only one more time before heading to New England tomorrow for Thursday’s final preseason game vs the Patriots. The roster cutdown to the mandatory 53 players is due by Saturday by 6pm. The next practice after today is scheduled for Monday……Here’s what’s happening….
From GEICO SportsNite: The Giants received some good news Monday when defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul came off the physically unable to perform list.
Today’s nugget….the Giants were one of nine NFL teams that scored at least 400 points last season – New England (557), Denver (481), New Orleans (461), Washington (436), Green Bay (433), New York Giants (429), Atlanta Falcons (419), Houston (416) and Seattle (412) – equaling the previous record set in 2008. Those nine teams combined for a .681 winning percentage and all but two qualified for the playoffs. The Saints were one. The Giants were the other.
