BC Well Represented in Giants-Falcs Wildcard Dip

Boston College will be in the house this Sunday at MetLife.

Giants’ CEO John Mara is a Boston College alum. His head coach, Tom Coughlin coached the Eagles from 1991-93 and had been an assistant there in the early 1980’s. The Giants made headlines when they signed LB Mark Herzlich, the BC star whose victory over bone cancer has become an inspirational story for millions.

The Giants just recently brought back KR Will Blackmon, another BC alum who the team is entrusting with it’s punt returning game.

In case you’ve been away for awhile, this week’s opponent – the Atlanta Falcons – have a QB named Matt Ryan – who broke many of the great Doug Flutie’s records on Chestnut Hill.

The Giants’ assistant offensive line coach - Jack Bicknell Jr – was the center on that BC team with Flutie. Bicknell’s father, Jack Sr., was the head coach at BC rom 1981-90.
