Nicks on whether injured knee will require offseason surgery:
“We’ll see. I just have to go through another re-evaluation. Right now, I think we’re just counting on and banking on rest. Once we rest, we’ll see what it says.”
What about the foot?
“Foot? Nah, I think the foot is just still healing. That’s just a process after having a week through, it will take a while to roll. Throughout the course of the year, it’s been healing. It’s still healing, I haven’t had setbacks with the foot, so I think I’ll be good.”
Do you think rest is the best option?
“Yeah. I think just rest. I never really rest. We can’t just cut that part of the equation out, just try to say, ‘Okay, let’s go straight to surgery.’ I never rest my body, and I’m not quick to get cut, go under the needle. We’re going to see how it plays out. Whatever is best for me to do to benefit the team and myself, I’m sure we’ll do it.”
