In the new offense, QB Eli Manning went 6-7 passing for 43 yards with a long of 10. He also lost a fumble on a sack that led to a Buffalo FG. Backup Ryan Nassib was 7 for 12 passing for 139 yards including a 73-yard TD to WR Corey Washington. Curtis Painter was 3-3 for 26 yards. The Giants’ QB finished the game with a 117.2 passer rating.

The rushing attack, led by rookie Andre Williams (48 yards on 7 carries and a TD), took the Bills by storm early on. Rashad Jennings was the starter (7 carries, 3 receptions, 43 total yards). Peyton Hillis also carried seven times for 36 yards.

WR Marcus Harris had four catches for 49 yards with a long of 25. WR Corey Washington had the big 73-yard TD catch that decided the game. WR Jerrel Jernigan had two catches. Victor Cruz and Rueben Randle, the starters, were not even targeted in the passing game last night.

Larry Donnell got the start at TE and was targeted twice. He had one catch for 13 yards. Daniel Fells had a 10 yard reception. Fells, incidentally, sustained a sprained knee during the game.

Henry Hynoski started at FB. He did not have a carry nor a reception. John Conner had one carry for seven yards.

The PKs converted all of their attempts last night. Josh Brown hit two 33-yard PATs and Brandon McManus made a 47-yd FG.

All eight kickoffs in the game went for touchbacks.

The punt returns were handled by WR Preston Parker (3 for 33 yards) and Jernigan (one fair catch).

Punter Steve Weatherford punted five times and had one blocked when S Cooper Taylor could not seal the edge.

Taylor had a strong game on defense, however, leading the team with eight total tackles with an INT and a pass defended. CB Zack Bowman also had an INT and two passes defended.

DEs Damontre Moore, Kerry Wynn and Jordan Stanton all recorded sacks.

No one got carted off the field.  I consider last night's game a success.

the starting offensive line looked bad....what a shock.  it doesnt matter who runs the ball or who calls the plays...without an offensive line it will fail.

I'm grateful that in a year we are changing our offense and rebuilding our line, that we have 5 preseason games.

Some rough moments early on with the offense - but really liking Andre Williams. My guess is eli was told to practice the passes to Rbs but would have liked to have seen at least some intermediate routes as well.

Still not loving jernagen and I think hosley is done

@Skookaloop  Other than the blocked punt, was the Special Teams all that bad? A made FG, 2 PATs, every KO was a touchback.

It's a new offense and basically a new oline. I expected it to be a little rough last night. Fortunately we have 4 more exhibition games left to work it out

@Jeff Comerford Hosley will be suspended for the first four games. If there is no opening for him come Week 5, he could be cut. They won't cut him before they absolutely have to.

Jernigan is not starting material, but he will make the club

Based on his positive test, upcoming suspension and absolute poor play last night, I think we should give hosleys reps to someone else. I think it's time to move on
