The Giants defeated the Buffalo Bills in Canton last night by the score of 17-13.
What you need to know this morning….
In the new offense, QB Eli Manning went 6-7 passing for 43 yards with a long of 10. He also lost a fumble on a sack that led to a Buffalo FG. Backup Ryan Nassib was 7 for 12 passing for 139 yards including a 73-yard TD to WR Corey Washington. Curtis Painter was 3-3 for 26 yards. The Giants’ QB finished the game with a 117.2 passer rating.
The rushing attack, led by rookie Andre Williams (48 yards on 7 carries and a TD), took the Bills by storm early on. Rashad Jennings was the starter (7 carries, 3 receptions, 43 total yards). Peyton Hillis also carried seven times for 36 yards.
WR Marcus Harris had four catches for 49 yards with a long of 25. WR Corey Washington had the big 73-yard TD catch that decided the game. WR Jerrel Jernigan had two catches. Victor Cruz and Rueben Randle, the starters, were not even targeted in the passing game last night.

The PKs converted all of their attempts last night. Josh Brown hit two 33-yard PATs and Brandon McManus made a 47-yd FG.
All eight kickoffs in the game went for touchbacks.
The punt returns were handled by WR Preston Parker (3 for 33 yards) and Jernigan (one fair catch).
Punter Steve Weatherford punted five times and had one blocked when S Cooper Taylor could not seal the edge.
Taylor had a strong game on defense, however, leading the team with eight total tackles with an INT and a pass defended. CB Zack Bowman also had an INT and two passes defended.
DEs Damontre Moore, Kerry Wynn and Jordan Stanton all recorded sacks.
