Running back Peyton Hillis (foot, ankle) is hoping to resume practicing on Monday (Daily News, Aug. 14).
He’ll need to in order to ensure his roster spot. Provided he can get healthy, Hillis is ticketed for No. 3 duties behind Rashad Jennings and Andre Williams. Hillis averaged an anemic 3.4 yards on 73 carries for the Giants last season. The G-Men could ultimately opt to replace him with a free agent.
