SNYGiants Super Bowl Pick
Jim Mancari , Contributor
We’re in store for a good battle Sunday in this year’s Super Bowl.
Here is my final pick of the season. I’ll be using the points spread from Yahoo! Sports. Feel free to include your pick for the big game in the comments section. Good luck!
Championship Round Record: 2-0
Baltimore Ravens (+3.5) at San Francisco 49ers
This is a very difficult game to handicap. The 49ers have the more talented roster, but the Ravens have had a string of gutsy victories. Plus Baltimore is playing to send Ray Lewis off into the sunset with his second Super Bowl ring. San Francisco though holds the key to this game: its rushing attack. If the 49ers can control the ball by establishing the run with Frank Gore and even Colin Kaepernick, it could be a long day for the Ravens’ defense.
Now, I think this game is going to be close. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if it comes down to a field goal at the end (good luck with that David Akers!). But the 49ers are on the verge of creating a dynasty in this league, and it starts with Sunday. The Ravens naturally are not going to fold, but San Francisco is ready to take the next step forward.
Score Prediction: 49ers 24, Ravens 20
