The Giants begin the mandatory stage of their offseason program today with their annual three-day minicamp at Timex Performance Center adjacent to MetLife Stadium. There will be one practice each day: today and tomorrow at 3:25pm and Thursday at 10:30am.
We previewed minicamp yesterday all day here at SNYGiants. Please scroll down for the articles.
Some things to watch for today:
WR Hakeem Nicks skipped all of the team’s OTAs and was not at TPC for the pre-camp physicals yesterday. He must show today or he will start to incur fines. All indications are that he will be in attendance.
WR Victor Cruz, who is using all of his allotted time to agree to his tender offer from the Giants, is not expected to do so this week. Hence, he will not be attending camp. He is not under contract, so he will not be fined.
The defensive line will be without DE Jason Pierre-Paul, who will miss approximately 12 weeks after undergoing surgery to address a herniated disc in his lower back last week.
The offensive line will be checking out their options in the middle of the line as C David Baas (elbow) and G Chris Snee (hip) will not line up for team drills this week.
LB Jacquian Williams (knee) and DB Terrell Thomas (knee) are expected to be used sparingly.
