The Giants are hosting speedy free agent WR Anthony Armstrong today.
From Rotoworld: Armstrong was a diamond in the rough as an undrafted rookie out of West Texas A&M, racking up a 44/871/3 line for the Redskins in 2010. But in the two seasons since then, he’s totaled 10 catches in 19 games for the ‘Skins and Dolphins. The Giants wouldn’t view him as anything more than a situational deep threat.
Armstrong showed a lot of promise back in the day. He is 30 years old, however. He began his pro career in something called the Intense Football League in 2006 before catching on in the Arena league. Armstrong was signed to the Dolphins practice squad in 2009 and since then has bounced around, spending time with Washington, Miami (again), Jacksonville and Dallas.
The Giants are very familiar with Armstrong from his time with the Redskins. He scored three of his five career TDs vs the Blue.
