Below is a comment from one of our readers – Drew – who poses an interesting argument….
Eli needs to clean up his bad habits. How does he have a QB camp in the summer and not have better fundamentals? Does he tell the campers to listen to what he is saying and not watch his games because throwing into triple coverage, throwing off your back leg, throwing up the ball while ducking all the time, shoveling the ball carelessly to your RB is not the way to play QB? Who is the QB coach now and why does he still have a job??????
Anyone care to expand on this…?
I often wonder what is going through Eli’s head sometimes. As great as he can be – and we’ve seen him play legendary football in the biggest spots – he can also leave you wondering if he’s ever played the game. I know he’s a competitor and is trying to make plays, but he’s also got a penchant for making bonehead moves that I have never seen before or since in my nearly five decades of following professional football.
