Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu will Sunday’s contest against the New York Giants.
Polamalu, who is nursing a torn calf, will miss his fourth consecutive game this week. Thus far, he has played in just one quarter of football.
Also joining Polamulu on the sidelines will be right tackle Marcus Gilbert, who will miss his third week in a row with a knee injury.
Safety Ryan Clark passed his post-concussion tests today, and head coach Mike Tomlin said the team will monitor his progress throughout the week.
Running backs Rashard Mendenhall and Isaac Redman will return to practice tomorrow. Mendenhall, who is dealing with an Achilles injury, and Redman, suffering from an ankle injury, both missed last week’s game against the Redskins.
In their place, former Georgia Tech standout Jonathan Dwyer posted his second 100-yard performance. He has a strained quadricep, but is expected back at practice on Thursday.
