SNYGiants Week 16 NFL Picks

Jim Mancari , Contributor

Time is running out to finish above .500. For this week, I will try to pick games that actually mean something.

Here are this week’s picks. I’ll be using the point spreads from Yahoo! Sports. Feel free to include your picks for these or any other of the week’s games in the comments section. Good luck!

Week 15 Record: 2-2

Overall: 17-18

Cincinnati Bengals (+3.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers have really struggled lately, but with the season on the line, I’m expecting them to show up at home. My concern is that the game gets decided by less than a field goal. I’m going to go with Big Ben though in this one to cover.

Pick: Steelers

Washington Redskins (-6.5) at Philadelphia Eagles

The Giants need the Redskins to give them a holiday gift, but it likely is not going to happen. Even at home, the Eagles are just a bad team. Maybe they’ll try to play the role of spoiler, but don’t count on it. The 6.5-point spread may scare some, but I have to go with the Skins here.

Pick: Redskins

San Francisco 49ers (-1) at Seattle Seahawks

Here is a big test for the Seahawks. Sure they’ve dominated teams at home, but now the division rival 49ers head to town as underdogs. Seattle has made tremendous strides this season and is in line for a playoff berth, but I’m going with San Francisco in this one.

Pick: 49ers

New York Giants (-2.5) at Baltimore Ravens

I went with the Giants last week and was embarrassed, but I’m sticking with them again, even though they are favored on the road. I’m worried that the Ravens have lost three straight games but have locked up a playoff spot. No team wants to limp into the playoffs, so Baltimore should be ready to play Sunday. But the Giants need it more. A Lawrence Tynes field goal at the end could not only give the Giants a win, but it could also help them cover the spread.

Pick: Giants
