SNYGiants Playoff Picks

Jim Mancari , Contributor

The wild card round of the playoffs starts Saturday, and there are a few good matchups to watch.

Here are this week’s picks. I’ll be using the point spreads from Yahoo! Sports. Feel free to include your picks for these or any other of the week’s games in the comments section. Good luck!

Week 17 Record: 2-2

Overall: 19-23

Cincinnati Bengals (+4.5) at Houston Texans

The Texans have cooled off after their great start, but expect the team to come out strong at home. The Bengals have been a nice story this year, but if the Texans’ defensive line can pressure Andy Dalton so that he can’t thrown downfield to A.J. Green, it will be a long day for the Bengals.

Pick: Texans

Minnesota Vikings (+7.5) at Green Bay Packers

In a rematch of Week 17 but in a different location, the Vikings and Packers will meet for the third time this season. The Vikings won on a game-winning Blair Walsh field goal. In this rivalry matchup, I think the Packers will get the victory, but it will be closer than 7.5.

Pick: Vikings

Indianapolis Colts (+7) at Baltimore Ravens

The Colts will need plenty of “Luck” to go into Baltimore and beat the Ravens, but here’s another game where I think the spread will be a factor. Luck will have to continue his torrid pace to keep the Colts in the game, and a late field goal by either side may determine the outcome.

Pick: Colts

Seattle Seahawks (-3) at Washington Redskins

Here’s a tough one. The Seahawks are just 3-5 on the road this season compared to an impressive 8-0 at home. Seattle has the better record in the matchup against the Redskins, but Washington gets to host the game as the division winner. RGIII is certainly tough, but the Seahawks are playing so well right now that it’s tough not to go with them, even on the road.

Pick: Seahawks
